Native Seed Collecting on Sugarloaf

Would you like to collect native plant seeds on Sugarloaf with field naturalist Dave Sutherland? Dave is a recent

retiree from the city of Boulder’s Open Space Mountain Parks (OSMP)

Participants may take home native plant seeds and the surplus will go to Dave who has been spreading native plants

for 25 years in the Boulder area. He hosts many native plant events where he hands out free seeds. More about Dave

  • Seed Collecting on Sugarloaf:

  • When: 8:30am on Wednesday, September 4th

  • Where: 470 Weaver Drive. Weaver Drive is just below fire station 2. Once on Weaver turn right after the meadow,

    located about 1/2 mile up. Please park on the long driveway before the gate.

What to bring: Gloves, clippers, brown paper bags or cloth bags like a pillow case (anything breathable). Hat, sunscreen, water.
